Digital Innovation Hub

Y Combinator at BWH iHub Recap

In February 2021, the Brigham Digital Innovation Hub (iHub) held a virtual discussion with Y Combinator (YC) and the founders at Reverie Labs. Despite the pandemic, iHub attracted over 120 participants who came to hear from YC Partner Jared Friedman and Visiting Partner Surbhi Sarna about starting a new venture, tips and lessons learned on forming a biotech and healthcare startup, as well as from founders and YC alums Ankit Gupta and Jonah Kallenbach at Reverie Labs, who have gone through the prestigious accelerator program.

Y Combinator is an accelerator that has invested in and supported over 2,000 companies including Airbnb, Stripe, Dropbox, Reddit, and Ginkgo Bioworks. Since 2014, YC has funded over 250 bio, healthcare, and life sciences companies, making YC one of the largest seed stage bio/healthcare funders in the world. Reverie Labs is an early-stage pharmaceutical company pioneering the application of machine learning in developing next-generation small molecule kinase inhibitors for in the oncology space.

We look forward to hosting more events with Y Combinator together in person in the future.
