Mass General Brigham XR Club – October 2023

NextUp: XR is an initiative led by Mass General Brigham to examine and understand the application and implementation of Extended Reality (XR) in healthcare across our integrated health system. As part of this initiative, we are building a community at MGB focused on discussing and engaging with XR ideas and use-cases.
This month, we will be featuring Anne Bailey, Director, Clinical Tech Innovation, Immersive Technology Lead at VA Immersive. VA has now deployed more than 1,200 virtual reality (VR) headsets across more than 160 VA medical centers and outpatient clinics in all 50 U.S. states and Puerto Rico–advancing VA’s commitment to connecting Veterans to the soonest and best care. VA Immersive is defining a new reality in Veteran health care by leading the nation in the clinical implementation of immersive technology and uncovering new ways to embrace employees’ whole health. By engaging the senses of sight sound, and touch, immersive technology cultivates a new level of engagement to each Veteran’s health care experience.
