The iHub evaluates digital health solutions from startups and larger external companies for opportunities to enhance care delivery at the Brigham and across Mass General Brigham. We work with early-stage startups, venture capitalists, payers, as well as across industries including biotech and pharmaceutical. The team works to coordinate these external validation efforts with Mass General Brigham.
In collaboration with our partners at Massachusetts General Hospital, and other groups across Mass General Brigham, this process aims to:

Digital Health Startups
The iHub led and created a central repository for startup companies that reach out to the Mass General Brigham community through startups.partners.org. This resource encourages further communication and coordination between the various innovation sites at Mass General Brigham. The intake process is one mechanism that allows us to evaluate and assess fit within our institution. Typically, once companies have completed the form, if there is alignment with strategic initiatives and priorities at Brigham Health, an introductory meeting will be held to better understand opportunities and potentials for adoption.

Collaboration and Matchmaking Success Stories
With the support of iHub, Medumo expanded beyond the initial colonoscopy prep pilot to the Weiner Center and is now implemented throughout the entire Ambulatory department. In June 2018, Mass General Brigham signed a collaboration agreement with Medumo as their largest customer to date.
In October 2018, Orbita Inc. announced a strategic collaboration with the iHub to explore and advance the use of voice-enabled and conversational AI solutions in health care.
In September of 2017, Brigham Health announced its collaboration with Redox, which will enable digital health solutions from healthcare technology providers to more easily and effectively partner with the Brigham to rapidly integrate, pilot, evaluate and deploy.
Working with the BWFH Operating Rooms, iHub launched TORq Interface. In just the first two months, the average daily administrative time spent by the BWFH perioperative services team to communicate with device representatives was reduced from 2 hours down to 15 minutes.
For the past two years, the Brigham has been a champion to MassChallenge HealthTech, a Boston-based accelerator supporting early-stage digital health companies. Led by iHub, Brigham Health has championed six early-stage digital health companies.
