Boston Business Journal: Health care giants talk about what they need from local startups

From apps that help diabetes patients track their insulin levels to a program that can manage a person’s medications, innovators are abound in the health care market. But how do these startups make their way into big hospital systems?

At an event hosted by MSDI at Communispace in Boston, innovation executives from some of the biggest health care names in Boston came together to offer insight into what it takes to form a partnership.

Among them were Pothik Chatterjee, the innovation strategy and venture manager at Brigham and Women’s Hospital; Joshua Di Frances, manager of innovation strategy and digital health at Brigham Innovation Hub; Stephen Agular, managing director for Blue Cross Blue Shield subsidiary Zaffre Investments; and Mandira Singh, senior manager of business development and More Disruption Please at athenahealth (Nasdaq: ATHN).
